Dragon Boat Trip and Our Story
Dragon boat is owned by two business partners who are also good friends – Ümit and Turhan. They grew up together working as teenagers on the boats in Olu Deniz, Turkey. They started at the bottom and over the years worked their way up to both become Captains, learning English along the way and understanding the importance of quality customer service.
The day to day running of Dragon boat is not only carried out by Ümit and Turhan but their wives Ilknur and Dawn, both of whom have years of experience in the Tourism industry each play a role too. Ilknur looks after the logistics of the business while Dawn oversees all aspects of social media and both take bookings. A family business that prides itself in offering family friendly experiences on the Dragon boat trips.
The first boat bought by Ümit and Turhan was a small but sturdy vessel back in 2008. Since then they have worked hard in Olu Deniz both on boats and in excursion agencies to finally fulfill their dream of purchasing a pirate boat - Dragon Boat in 2016.
